About Heather

Heather Hach is a screenwriter (Freaky Friday and What to Expect When You’re Expecting) and Tony-nominated and Olivier-winning Broadway librettist (Legally Blonde the Musical). A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Journalism, Hach went on to become a magazine editor, an improv comedy troupe member and, even weirder yet, a judge on MTV’s “The Search for the Next Elle Woods”. She was a mediocre P.A. on TV’s “Caroline in the City” and a truly terrible writer’s assistant on “Dilbert.” Thankfully, in 1999, she won the Walt Disney Screenwriting Fellowship and has been writing ever since. She also wrote the YA novel Freaky Monday with Mary Rodgers. The Trouble with Drowning is her adult novel debut. Hach lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband, two kids, a charming golden doodle and a weird pug.
